Terms and conditions

Last updated: May 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using this website, becoming a member, booking an event, or taking part in MoMENtum activities.

These Terms and Conditions apply to the website www.momentumuk.co.uk and to memberships, event bookings and community activities provided by MoMENtum Men’s Group.

By using our website, creating an account, becoming a member, booking an event or taking part in MoMENtum activities, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you should not use our website, purchase a membership, book an event or take part in MoMENtum activities.

1. Information about us

Organisation: MoMENtum Men’s Group
Website: www.momentumuk.co.uk
Email: info@momentumuk.co.uk

MoMENtum Men’s Group exists to reduce isolation and improve the mental, emotional and social wellbeing of men through community, conversation and action.

MoMENtum is a community and social connection group. It is not a therapy, counselling, crisis, medical or emergency service.

2. Eligibility

MoMENtum is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

By creating an account, becoming a member, booking an event or taking part in activities, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;

  • the information you provide is accurate;

  • you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract;

  • you will follow these Terms and Conditions and any event-specific instructions.

We reserve the right to refuse membership, event access or participation where we reasonably believe someone is under 18, has provided false information, or may present a risk to themselves, others or the safe running of the group.

3. Memberships

MoMENtum may offer free and paid membership options.

Membership benefits may vary depending on the membership type and may include access to events, updates, community features, discounted activities, members-only events or other benefits described on the website.

Paid memberships are usually billed monthly through the payment method provided at checkout.

By purchasing a paid membership, you authorise the relevant payment provider to collect recurring payments from your chosen payment method until the membership is cancelled.

Prices, benefits and membership options may change from time to time. Where a change materially affects your paid membership, we will aim to provide reasonable notice.

4. Cancelling a membership

You may cancel your paid membership at any time through your online account, payment provider, or by contacting us at:

info@momentumuk.co.uk

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid billing period. We do not usually provide partial refunds for unused parts of a monthly membership period, unless required by law or agreed by us.

You should cancel before your next billing date if you do not want your membership to renew.

5. Event bookings

MoMENtum may offer free and paid events, activities, meetups, social gatherings, walks, meals, trips or other community activities.

When you book an event, you agree to:

  • provide accurate booking information;

  • pay the stated event fee, where applicable;

  • follow event instructions and safety guidance;

  • behave respectfully towards other attendees, organisers, venues and the public;

  • take responsibility for your own personal belongings;

  • tell us about any relevant access, dietary or safety needs where appropriate.

Some events may be delivered by third-party venues, facilitators, instructors, transport providers or activity providers. Additional terms, safety requirements or venue rules may apply.

6. Event cancellations, refunds and changes

Unless stated otherwise on the event page, you may cancel a paid event booking and receive a full refund if you give at least 48 hours’ notice before the event start time.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event start time are usually non-refundable.

We may cancel, postpone, reschedule or change an event where necessary, including because of low attendance, venue issues, weather, illness, safety concerns, transport issues or circumstances outside our control.

If we cancel a paid event, we will usually offer you a refund or transfer to another suitable event where possible.

If we reschedule an event and you cannot attend the new date, we will usually offer a refund or transfer where reasonable.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Consumer cancellation rights

Where you purchase a membership, event ticket, digital content or other service online, you may have consumer rights under UK law.

For some distance contracts, consumers may have a 14-day cancellation period. However, cancellation rights can vary depending on what has been purchased, whether a service has already started, whether an event is date-specific, or whether digital content has already been accessed.

Event tickets for specific dates or periods may be treated differently from some other online purchases.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or removes any statutory rights you may have.

8. Community standards and conduct

MoMENtum is built around respect, inclusion, connection and personal responsibility.

You agree not to behave in a way that is:

  • abusive;

  • threatening;

  • violent;

  • harassing;

  • discriminatory;

  • sexually inappropriate;

  • intimidating;

  • deliberately disruptive;

  • exploitative;

  • unsafe;

  • unlawful;

  • harmful to the reputation or safe running of MoMENtum.

Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, bullying, harassment, hate speech, aggressive behaviour or threatening conduct will not be tolerated.

We reserve the right to refuse entry, remove someone from an event, suspend membership, terminate membership or restrict access to MoMENtum activities if we reasonably believe these standards have been breached.

Where behaviour presents a serious risk, we may contact emergency services, safeguarding agencies, venue staff or other appropriate authorities.

9. Alcohol, venues and personal responsibility

Some MoMENtum events may take place in pubs, restaurants, cafés, outdoor spaces, leisure venues or other public places.

You are responsible for your own behaviour, choices, travel, alcohol consumption, spending and personal safety.

Where alcohol is available at a venue, you agree to drink responsibly and behave appropriately.

We reserve the right to remove or refuse participation to anyone whose behaviour appears unsafe, aggressive, heavily intoxicated or disruptive.

Venue rules and licensing requirements must be followed at all times.

10. Health, safety and activity risk

Some events may involve walking, outdoor activity, travel, physical movement or participation in public spaces.

You are responsible for deciding whether an event is suitable for your health, fitness, mobility and personal circumstances.

You should not take part in an activity if you believe it may be unsafe for you.

Please tell us in advance if you have any access needs, mobility concerns, health considerations, allergies or dietary requirements that may affect your participation.

MoMENtum will take reasonable care when organising activities but cannot remove all risks from social, outdoor, venue-based or community events.

11. Not therapy, medical care or crisis support

MoMENtum is not a therapy, counselling, medical, crisis or emergency service.

Information shared through the website, events, blogs, newsletters or group activities is for general wellbeing, social connection and community purposes only.

It should not be treated as medical advice, therapy, diagnosis or treatment.

If you need medical or mental health advice, you should speak to your GP, NHS 111, a qualified therapist, counsellor or another appropriate professional.

If you feel at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else, or you are in immediate danger, call 999 or go to your nearest A&E department.

You can also contact Samaritans on 116 123, available 24 hours a day.

12. Online community and member features

You must not post or share content that is:

  • abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing;

  • sexually explicit or inappropriate;

  • defamatory or misleading;

  • confidential or private information about another person;

  • spam or unsolicited advertising;

  • unlawful;

  • likely to cause serious distress or harm;

  • infringing someone else’s intellectual property rights.

We may remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts or terminate membership where community standards are breached.

You should not share sensitive personal information in public or semi-public online spaces.

13. Photos, videos and testimonials

MoMENtum may take photos or videos at events for community updates, website content, social media, promotional materials or marketing.

Where images clearly identify you, we will aim to obtain consent before using them for promotional purposes.

You can tell us if you do not want to be photographed or filmed at an event.

If you provide a testimonial, review, comment, photo or video for publication, you confirm that we may use it for the agreed purpose.

You may withdraw consent for future use by contacting us, although we may not always be able to remove material that has already been printed, shared, archived or distributed.

14. Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.

We do not usually store full card payment details ourselves.

You agree to provide accurate payment information and ensure that your chosen payment method remains valid for recurring memberships or future payments.

If a payment fails, we may suspend or cancel access to paid membership benefits, bookings or services until payment is resolved.

15. Intellectual property

All website content, branding, logos, images, copy, graphics, videos, downloadable resources, event materials and other materials belong to MoMENtum or are licensed for use by MoMENtum unless stated otherwise.

You may view and use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You must not copy, reproduce, sell, adapt, redistribute, upload, commercially exploit or use MoMENtum materials without written permission.

If you submit content to us, including photos, comments, testimonials or feedback, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

18. Data protection and privacy

We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we may share it with, how long we keep it, and your data protection rights.

  • you breach these Terms and Conditions;

  • you behave in a way that is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or inappropriate;

  • you misuse the website or community features;

  • payment is not made where required;

  • continuing your participation may create a risk to you, other members, staff, volunteers, venues or the public;

  • we are required to do so by law, venue rules or safeguarding concerns.

Where appropriate, we may provide an explanation. However, we may not be able to provide full details where doing so would compromise safety, confidentiality, safeguarding or legal obligations.

21. Our liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoMENtum will not be liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;

  • loss caused by reliance on general website or wellbeing information;

  • losses caused by third-party venues, providers or websites;

  • travel costs or other expenses where an event is cancelled or changed, unless required by law;

  • injury, loss or damage caused by your failure to follow instructions, venue rules or reasonable safety guidance;
